The whip lash crashes aross his back as the angiush mixed
with his hatred makes somethin in him snap a
rebellion swelling
within him festers until theres nothin left ta do but flee
into the muddy swamps around the tall trees.. his dream
to get away from this place by all means..
after a hards days work he comes to his
cabin and drifts off to sleep suddenly a vision
of how all this all came to be..

days hunting still ive found nothin im still hungry
so i aint giving uptill i kill something.
.even though somethin tellin me to go..just flee
like somebodies watchin me..stalkin me ..
but im a warrior of the Zulu tribe
my pride wont let me run i rather fight better to die
free than to live bound suddenly I hear the slightest sound
..whispers so quiet yet so loud
am I losing my mind cuz this is not the time now..
tighten my grip around my spear..
i feel my times is near.
try to get my mind clear but all i can think
is something unknown attacking me....

Out of no where men rushing me suddenly my spear enters
one there abdomens and becomes stuck in a tree meanwhile
men sourrounding me WHITE MEN of such ive never seen
just heard of human thieves and Murderers.
now im panicking will i ever see my family again..
only time will tell but now i will fight to the death.
cuz before im takin a slave i rather die and go to hell..

they proved to be more than i can bear
i tried to flee quickly but they swiftly
collasped upon me like a tower absent of a foundation
for death im bracing
but there binding chains around my wrist..
shackles made of metal around my ankles..
pain increase as i struggle and strain to get out of this
..a ogre of a man swung his fist than to sudden black i drift..

as i awake i contemplate my escape
i cant live like this no way
no more beatings no more names..no more shame
of being what i am cuz thats all i can be
African is who I am African is inside Me..
not a NIGGER never indulged in the bliss of ignorance..
but the word triggers my resistance.
im from the land of egyptians
the first brainsurgeous emerged from us
before alexander burned our huts..
before a pythagorean theory the greeks learned from us!!
but I depart now in glees
for to live in bondage is death
and to die a deserter is independence and I just want to be Free!!
