on a lyrical level of battling???Ether is the shit..Nas won because he used everything he had on jay..as a diss lyrically it's great i dont know what peeps be saying..but he got at him personally which was some clever tactics you use everything you got @ your hardest when in battle..if you think Ether is a bunch of gay jokes and all that than up ya hip hop knowledge..people just say that as a matter of hate..Nas aint all that of a battler and yes he killed jada in a battle and that;s what ended their subliminal beef..Nas is a great storyteller but he doesnt have all that much storytelling songs..his career has evolved greatly(he was many different things even a battler to one point) he's a great PRE-WRITER and ether was pre-wrtten and was pretty sick..whether you like it or not..i think your just trying to find ways to support what you said about Nas not being a battle rapper..your right to a certain extent..jay may easily beat himm..em would kill him in a battle ya ya..but that's a who know..people say ether just had a great beat but if you hate the lyrics..fine..but it had jay breaking up on the radio..it was a great effective diss...not anything on jay though Takeover is just as good as ether as a diss song jsut not that ONE verse he gave to Nas..and thats how he fucked up giving NAS one verse..have you dudes listened to the stillmatic freestyle going @ Jay...as a matter of fact in general it's better than "super ugly" but say what you wish...there is a mixtape of Nas freestyles and everything..i dont have it..but listen to his battles..i mean he had some clever wordplay when he sent subliminals to cam and shit...I dont know but some of you dudes are underrating Nas
