I personally check my syllables not only for multis but for my verse in general. Well, I'm not a text battle cat but I do write topicals and I know some topical writers can stretch their lines or neglect the flow but I make sure the flow is quite decent by counting syllables in every line and adding multis. It makes it more enjoyable to read in my opinion.
