werd, I'm with Phenom...Mariah Carey is known as being the female artist to sell the most albums in the decade of the 90s...she's the solo female artist that sold the most copies of her debut album, she beat Whitney...the fact that she "fell off" because she had some personal problems and couldn't deal with the pressures of fame and living up to everybody ELSE's expectations of her has nothing to do with her talent...
she's more talented than most females in the industry, she writes and or co-writes ALL of her songs and does much of the vocal arrangements as well...if ya'll are just realiZing that she's like THE sikkest female in R&B then ya'll got no business being involved in HipHop cuz she's a part of HipHop culture just like Mary J. Blige and others are...and in my opinion, MAry J. the only other female that's up there on a level that's at least remotely close to Mariah...
however TECHNICALLY Mariah IS the best singer in the industry because her vocal range is about 7 or 8 octaves...which means she can sing every note n a piano
