hip hop was started so that ppls beef wouldnt lead to violence, so they expressed it and battled each other in different ways such as emceeing, dance, battles of the dj's etc so that ultimately when ppl were beefin it would be peaceful. i agree 100% with the bit about the marketing, all that mainstream media played beef is bullshit, half them rappers r buddies lol and yeah sites like this take it to the extreme, with everybody bitchin about something. So everyone who takes it too far n fights or worse kills over hip hop or gang warfare is defeating the purpose of hip hop's existence! *thank u* lol
