Came 2 me in a peculiar way, asking me how was my day. It was hell
you could tell, I told you that and you dispelled.
I felt bad for letting you in so close so soon, but I felt betrayed and hate ensued.
You found me at a rough time, looking my worst, and still you wanted
to talk to me, unabashed and unaccursed.
I owe you a deal of gratitude for getting me out of my pit, I owe you a
lot of respect for doing what you did.
It took awhile for me to get used to all the things that couples do.
It didn’t take long for me to see the man inside of you.
I see a christian man, a strong one who knows where he stands.
I want to be there when he lands, be there when I can
Reassure him through the bad, laugh with him through the glad
Cry with him through the worst, enjoy everyday things with him
through our course.
Help him when he is in need, be there if he ever bleeds.
Be a strong woman if he doubts, be a shoulder if he pouts.
Care for him when he is sick, suggest something he might pick.
Be there when he calls my name, love him no matter if he’s
cripple or lame.
See to it he gets what he needs, help him with his goals and deeds.
Assure him that he is right, when all he wants is to pick a fight
This man I love, chose me first, I felt empty without the chase, but
whole with the thirst. I love more than I dreamed of, I didn’t know
I possessed it till he came up. I see a picture and it gives me chillbumps.
To know that he is with me, God blessed me intensly.
Both loving God and everything he does, he sure sends blessing down from above
he is one to prove it, I am one to say it, so please don’t hate it, just embrace it.
