KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man shot at a Kansas City car wash became the city's 50th murder victim of the year.

James R. Skivers was shot at the Boulevard Car Wash Wednesday night, police said.

He died in a hospital Thursday night.

At first, police had said he was shot during a robbery, but Friday, they refused to say exactly what happened.
