Scars feedin pain I’m needin
water to quench this thirst I have
leanin on God to heal me fast.
If He don’t I’m fadin at last
witherin like a leaf without
a cast.
Help me not dry up and give
me strength to drink a sup.
Needin energy, not gettin any.
Lord punishin me for not representin
plenty of times I stumbled and
plenty of times I mislead, trying
to act like a Christian but falling instead.
Now I’m goin through torment, my
world going to crap
Quicker than I eva expected like sand
in a hourglass my life is rejected.
Tryin to live my life uncredited to anyone
anything I bet my life unselected
Lost everything I worked for, everything I loved
my life going down a hole and I’m digging up sod
Cryin to the Lord, help me outta this mess, I can’t
do it w/o you, I can’t pass this test
All a sudden the phone rings, on the other end a
legit deal is made, I got a job at a local arcade,
gonna make some dough in the right kinda way.
Call up my folks tellin what went down
My momma said she was prayin 4 my life to turn around
We all were cryin as I hung up the phone, I can pay my rent
and keep what I own!
I told God I would need his guidance but I would present myself
tell everybody how I recommited myself, got on with my life
and love through all else..recompense, nonsense I'm goin on
no more comment.
