5.if it sounds good, then your done. If your verse sounds disorted, follow these next steps

6.Undo all previous steps,besides step one.

7.Doube click on the verse, to switch to Edit Mode.Now you should have the verse you just recorded in front of you.Highlight the silence you left at the beginning of your verse...

And hit "ALT+N" (for Adobe Audition 1.5)
or
Go to Noise Reduction >> Noise Reduction>>Get selection from Profile>> Cancel (Cool Edit Pro)


8.Select the whole wave. Then go to Noise Reduction >> Noise Reduction
There is a Noise Reduction Bar.
More towards green you move the scroll the less noise it will remove
Putting the the scroll on yellow removes half of the noise
The move towards red you moce the scroll the more noise it will remove
If your previous outcome, your verse sounded disorted, move the scroll towards yellow, Try 85%, hit preview.Adjust to your likings.Then hit okay


9.After it finishes,highlight the silence in the beginning of the verse, hit "CTRL+X". This will delete it.

10.Now select the slence in the end of the wave, and hit "CTRL+X".Deleting the silence of the wave.Now go back to multi-track view, play it and see how it sounds.

11.If it sounds disorted still, go back to step 6 and try a lower percent on the Noise Reduction Level..

If noise is still there, go back to step 6, but this time try a higher percent setting for Noise Reduction Level. [/B]
