The world famous Rock Steady Crew will celebrate its 28th anniversary July 27th to July 31st throughout NY and NJ, with performances by Keith Murray, Eric Sermon, Tony Touch, and Black Moon. The 28th Anniversary will feature a free outdoor concert featuring Keith Murray, Eric Sermon, Black Moon, and Tony Touch with special guests from his ReggaeTony album. The 5-day event will also include a celebrity basketball game, a special RSC performance, the "End of the Weak" MC Challenge, and an invitation-only B-Boy/B-Girl battle. The concert will conclude the festival and it takes place July 31st at Military Park, Newark, NJ. In accordance with this year's "Stay Legendary" theme, the RSC will be giving out their first annual "Spy" award. Named after the legendary B-boy, Spy, the award honors veteran B-boys for their innovation and dedication to the art of breakdancing. Nominees for the award must have shown dedication to the art for at least 10 years. The Rock Steady Crew is known internationally for representing the B-Boy movement. Legendary B-Boy and Rock Steady Crew President, Crazy Legs organizes and hosts the annual event, which draws upwards of 20,000 attendees from around the globe. The festival was started in 1991 to memorialize slain RSC member Buck 4 and to celebrate Hip-Hop culture. The 28th Annual Rock Steady Anniversary takes place on July 27th thru July 31st.
