Blundering, sinking into the underground,
Smoke smothering, covering… placing a sheet around,
My eyes, I cough and realize my time has withered and why?
I miss my mother, and cry, to the point of tears, my years,
Withered away in days, Pissed, to say, the least but I can sense I’m closer here
I can feel it, a shot rings out and stings my ears, I stumble, it's nothing.
Still able to grip the flag, I trip and mumble, "I love my country"
