meh, as far as 'they shouldnt be looked down on because drug dealers are what they see as successful" goes, thats just retarded, i see drug dealers everyday, I see paramilitary men bein most respected/feared in our neighbourhoods,but i dont strive to be either. yes i see that doin what they do, does get them money and 'respect' if u wanna call it that but, that doesnt mean i dont no what it is to be successful outside of that environment. Nobody on this earth is that retarded to think that jus because an example has been set, they absolutely have to follow it,everyone has choices. and u are seriously degrading the ppl u are talkin about when u say that,' they do those things because of what they see,' that is an excuse not a reason to do it.
also i study sociology in school, and everywhere is different as to what race is not doing so well academically, maybe thats just how it is in ur area, because i no here that the asian kids are doin the worst because of their language barrier. Its different everywhere u are, so sayin that this is tryin to segregate black ppl is ridiculous. although i think that using ebonics as a foreign language or a teaching aid is so stupid. not everyone will recognise it as a language and if anything it is makin it way too easy for those students its aimed at, because wat curriculum would they have to follow? or standards would they have to live up to? none.
