I start to paint a picture a beautiful scene on the canvas
Different colors I paint with but for some reason I can’t have it
Cuz when the brush touches it, it turns to red cuz of the violence
Then I suddenly stop to see the picture… and im shocked I stay in silence

I try to stay away from the picture too scared to see the result
Cuz what I saw was a big deal when I saw all the people in devote
People in the streets stealing everything cuz of this situation im in disgust
We started this picture but my country came with the idea?...im in mistrust
Why did we wanna have this… and I was wonderin when is it going to be finish?
So I took a match and flamed the picture but to my surprise it just got extinguished
The only thing for me was to hide and stay alive so went underground to survive
But this is my country I gotta fight Panama is where I’m from that’s why I have pride

My mind was busy with the thoughts of survival I was so confused
Head hurting, legs tired, and arms stretched out is it cuz im bruised?
Im tired of asking questions so now im looking for the answers verbally
But the guns and bullets flying past my ear im getting the responses brutally

The many feets I see on every step is counted to how many deaths
Cant walk anymore im losing everything I got im losing my breath
My country’s soul is getting back to where its suppose to be
Not locked in a cage finally its back and now its where its free
No dictatorship Noreaga has been captured I heard in the news
So as some had to pay their dues Panama is back like it was new
The imprisoned have been listened so we as a country lost fear
Now we can see and hear what we want to in our eyes and ears

EXPLANATIONS- i was born in Panama in 1985 and i was like 5 when i experienced a war in Panama due to dictatorship there and the American Army helped us out get rid of the dictator named Noreaga......
