Female rappers fall off because they lose their sex appeal. Once the market dosen't view them as 'sexy' they're finished. Half of the reason is because they're females playing a male role of dominance and the average mofo don't wanna be dominated by a woman physically, mentally, or lyrically so to stay on, they have to act submissive and/or play the sidekick at one point or another. If you think you're gonna play the "baddest bitch" role for your entire career and still move units, you're wrong. That novelty wears off extremely quickly. Of course, none of them are trying to hear that and they eventually become a statistic. There's a formula for every type of emcee to be succesful over a course of say 3 album or 3 years. The Femcees out now are trying to rewrite that formula and be trail blazers (as I'd expect anyone would want to) but they're dropping like flies. Till they come to terms with the fact that the formula works, the cycle is just gonna keep on repeating.
