Quietly laying underneath an oak tree, birds singing their song
The blistering sun shining down on me, twenty-four hours long
Pressuring heat burns my skin, sweat dripping of my forehead
Shadow of leaves cannot win against powerful radiation shed
And so my soul is craving for the night to come release me
Longing to bathe in the cool moonlight which will set me free
I slowly close my grayish blue eyes while awaiting the dark
A desire rises for the sun's demise, sleep I wish to embark
Blurred darkness steadily taking over, filling me with relief
Warmth disappears; moon plays her role in easing my grief
