Sometimes they don't understand why the shit hits the fan
So they turn to a book that was blatantly written by man
I've grown sceptical, i've thought about this hard and long
Lost sleep thinkin but if i try and speak they'll say i'm wrong
I dunno if i'm wrong, if so I'll hold myself liable
But when i argue they prove my point by quoting the bible
They don't have non-religious answers for some questions
So they settle for using God instead of having to keep on guessin
How do they know that we was created by something holy?
How do they know it wasn't the greatest case of co-incidence soley?
They don't...i challenge them to think of an answer other than God
They can't cos it would take a deeper understandin than they got
Simply we ain't mentally got the means to contemplate
Certain things like how we came to be and what will be our fate
This is for religion as a whole, how do you know you're right?
How can you be sure to believe something another writes
People are known to deceive, what if this is another case?
I thought about this thoroughly don't think i'm speaking in haste
If God's real, like i was raised to believe, how comes he fails,
To save the innocent and let all these evils prevail...... |
