btw..at that point it wasn't known as canada...it was british north america...the B.N.A. colonies successfully defended themselves against the americans...they wanted to fight a land war with canada as it's prize...the aboriginal people assisted the white people of B.N.A. because they also wanted to defend the land...but werd...

they ended up signing the treaty of ghent...the war started cuz the americans wanted all kinds of shit..but it didnt resolve any of the issues that the americans had
