/\ Last Verse in the Universe /\

IP:

It's the future now, entwined in vapors, words don't remain on paper,
the obscene haters are gone in this world, past yesterday and later.
We hear one type of music, as we secretly drum with a pen or ruler,
leave coolers full of frozen dreams in cryogenics, claiming times fuller.
We all scratch the same thing on paper and we match our same tests,
and a feeling deep down in a chest knows separation would be the best.
'lest we segregate through this nation with a clenched fist of defiance,
A tax collector is simply a new pirate, we can't stop the corporate giants.

All licenses show the same face, shaved and with blue eyes--- all similar.
Natural matabolism defies the fats. We have genes that make us skinnier.
Chubby cheeks and with abs linear, the perfect race genetically altered,
brewing concotions in cauldrons, our creators walking, strides sauntered.
No longer are we rocking, listening to jazz or singers in spazzes lately,
all of our beats and rhymes are secondary, from the past, it's sad mainly.
Rap is banned, lamely, yes --- the music of kings forsworn and solemnly forlorn.
The CEO's, the tax collectors --- they wield weapons, souls sold for horns.

We sometimes hear a finger snapping or a man clapping or singing a solo tune,
but this is a desperate attempt; we've left this one tradition to see next moon.
Soon, we hope for a savior or for the rapture to deliver us from these bastards.
We have black boots, all in soot, marching for moron masters who seem plastered.
I think they say one man took out slavery. A man marked by heroicism and bravery.
I asked my friend if he plans to escape, his face said no but his voice said maybe.

I believe this may be the last verse in the past century , in this forgotten country,
at last as I can see they're at my door, but i'll decline their offerings of honey...
because you attract more flies with it then vinegar, but I can hear it in their voice,
disconnect my phone cords, defy my privacy and I'll rejoice,
'cuz it's my choice.
