No one said poetry was the best thing ever, but we think it's better then poetry. So what if poet's don't agree with the majority? If someone is about to die, it doesn't matter what they do, why would they care if they took a few minutes out of their life to write a poem about how they feel? They'll die anyway, it's not like people care about taking a few minutes to live a bit longer to show why they're doing something. People do poetry, people do notes.
It's stupid to compare rap to poetry, there's a difference, and different people have different taste. So what if the majority like rap? Not all rappers get famous, a shit load of rappers only know of a few of people.
Like I said, I don't care if I'm world famous. I'd prefer living with a few friends, being healthy, and having basic needs plus a few nice luxuries then being tailed around by the media and having all of my motives questioned. Poetry is a hobby, and rap usually is too, I like to do my hobbies, big fucking deal. I like rap as well. It doesn't matter, I don't want luxury, case closed.
