Look at the previous post I made in this thread dude, the one on the first page.. But yeah..
While the post you quoted was mainly directed at diss battling in text, ofcourse it can be applied to topicals..
And I dont see why I would take offence..... I think topicals are just as gay as the next guy.. But I do them as song writing basically.. I write all my topicals to beats like I was writing tracks more or less......(only diff is my actual songs have way better topics) When I bag topicals, I mean people who do them usually have no idea how to write lyrics and this is shown by the pathetically stupid styles they write with (as seen in my previous post)..
I used to do topicals though because they gave me more freedom to write actual song lyrics instead of silly little generic text verses. That will help you elevate because that is real practice (like said in the post you quoted).
