it doesn't have to be on the beat itself to be considered rap or poetry...rap is believed to be a FORM of poetry in many, if not MOST circles...
poetry has a natural flow, so does rap
poetry eXpresses feelings or views of the individual, so does rap
poetry contains imagery and word twisting, so does rap
poetry contains metaphors, so does rap
therearemany more similarities I can go on and on about...but honestly, every aspect of rap is also found in poetry, they are VERY related...
