there should be outside judges besides the people mentouring the contestants...and a mentor can have more than one person, so you can leave the mentour numbers the same if you like, give 'em like 2 each...
if you do that, then the 1st round, you could eliminate one contestant from each mentour's 2, and THEN make it an overall elimination...
give it 1 week per track to give people time to work, practice, record and mix...doing everything over a 2 week point is pointless cuz they won't elevate in that short of a time...
