Do you honestly think that swing coach is a better player than tiger? HELL NO. But, he can help Tiger point out his flaws so that he can work on them. It's the same phenomenon that doesn't allow someone to catch their own mistakes in writing, yet someone else can pick up on them immediately, even if they aren't a "better" writer than you.
