Listening through Audio Technica ATH M40fs monitor headphones:

I'm not nuts on the synth'd violin it self, though the note transitions on it are smooth, unlike most synthed stuff I hear lately. It's still blatantly a synthed instrument. The bass guitar in it is generic and I felt the kick could use a lil more EQ on the lows to make it pop more because this reminds me of one of the billions of sobby beats that underground heads love so much, but really are boring and ZZZZ city - NOT because of the production work, but because of the instruments! The strings that open up on the hook are perfect EXCEPT the volume on them as they fade out back to the loop point is way too low. The snare in this is also generic - menaing I've heard this exact snare used countless times. There sounds like there's a xylephone on it, I'd probably swap it out for a triangle and turn the reverb effect (but duration) up a little more and echo it slightly so the track has more of ambiance to it, which you definitely want when dealing with strings. Most people would accept this beat without any probs as it is, though the low-pitched synth strings are the one glaring flaw in this if anything. The others are just personal prefference to freshen it up fomr all the other beats out there that use the same elements.
