Thumbs up Just found out 2 of my co-workers co-authored a Hip Hop book

IP:

yea

I saw someone reading it and I was like "What's that?" It had some tyte graffiti art on the front cover. If I remember correctly, the book is entitled, "The Journal of Hip Hop" or something like that. It deals with the history of hip hop and it's various meanings. For some reason, after looking at that book, it has inspired me to be more of a student of hip hop. I plan to go back to my roots with this shit. Biggie Smalls' "Ready 2 Die" classic LP is what got me into rap. I mean, when I heard that it was like the best thing that I had ever heard. He amazed me. I listened to that track all day and all night the first time I heard it. So, for me, it was never about the hype. I first heard biggie 5 years after he had come out. I really wan't into hip hop like that. Now, I plan to go back and reevlauate why I rap. I plan to modify how I mix my tracks. I actually learned some things listening to tracks P. Diddy mixed/produced. I love how he mastered Biggie's voice. I plan to become a student of hip hop and really find my own style/niche. All the while, I will still be recording and posting just to see my own evolution in this. Hip hop is about expression. And, I'll be damned if anyone is going to change that and impede that right.
