Excellent poem, the concept first of all is nicely thought of...

I love how you use the contradiction between light and dark, for instance"the pale darkness of the night" or "the light blinds me to the infinite darkness". I liked that and I loved the imagery you were putting into this. It was subtle yet full of emotion and pure expression. The vocabulary was right on point as well, it wasn't over the top yet not too basic either.
