I'd reccomend the Audio Technica ATH M40fs monitor headphones. They're crystal clear in the mids and lows where rap lives pretty much, but the higher highs aren't as sharp compared to the bottom 2/3rds. That's fine by me since I never use that region, but if you do, you'd want to go upmarket into the $200+ range. I've never been disapointed by em and if anything they have more bass endurance than most of my other monitoring equipment short of the Event TR8. Highly reccomended.
