The fact that he said "free" and not "recoupable" says a fuck load about what he dosen't know about the music business, and asking dudes in middle and high school who are still wrestling with school shit what an offering (the thing he calls a 'signing package') would be when you should be talking to an entertainment lawyer and having them draft up the paperwork. A Music law book would be the bare minimum. This would be a typical contract for an indie label which is not much at all like a mainstream contract.
