I have to explain it's value to him, he's like naw I like the MAC ish better lol.. but oh about Logic Pro, some dude on yahoo messenger needs help wit that, he sends group messages askin people if they know how to work it. I be like uh no. Lol. But I'mma have all those programs down pat one day and finally choose what works best for me ultimately. But since I have a regular computer not a comp, I can only experiment when it comes to MACs every now and then when I sstop by my guy's house. I MUST say tho, that Garage Band has a lotta things that seem MUCH simpler to do than it does on Cool Edit. Not to mention how the waves look "prettier" on Garage Band.. it look more "attractive than Cool Edit"... lol.. I have a way of pickin words, but you'll know what I mean if you saw it.

My guy be makin beats with Garage Band... it actually sound hot tho, wit the presets they have for instrumentals. But yeah I gotta try Logic Pro one day.

yeah, some of the reasons you named are some of the reasons I loved Garage Band so much. It's easy a FUCK to use and get what you wanted out of it, it's easy to modify settings, and it's REALLY easy on the eyes, rather than that nintendo'd out looking interface and clunky-ass navigation that the Windows music programs have had. The ports of windows programs to macs always show their bland and faulty windows roots REAL fast, like Audacity. DL it (it's free and legal) and use it a little bit and you'll see exactly wht I mean - or hell, just look at the screen shots. Logic and GB use Core Audio which, if you're a sound-a-holic, is fuckin GREAT because you can distort any 16bit sound without distortion AT ALL. Stretch a new beat out to 40BPM and STILL not experience any warping of the sound, or segmentation or nothing. How the fugg can I not love that? GB/LP both have the ability to do shit I haven't seen in any other program, like automatically putting vocals and instruments on beat, and so so much more. The only downside is that GB can be too short-ended in some of it's features, but I've always found a work-around. All in all, for what it costs (nothing) it's straight up stellar. Even in the range of programs like 200 and less.
