but i do believe though in his defence...that if he gets death penalty for 4 deaths, people who killed more and are only serving life sentences should get the same as what Tookie did...it's only fair

There's all kind of debate still going on about whether he really did commit those murders or not though, its a well known fact that he created the Crips, but that's not what he was on trial for and we can't just assume that means he's guilty... people (educated people on this topic) think that the cops set him up for those murders through the gang so they could catch the leader of the Crips... he was still pleading innocent on the day that he died... AND, the trial he was given was automatically thrown by an all-white, un-fair jury... there are issues of racism getting involved because out of 100 jury members involved in the case there were 3 or 4, and all of those got released by the judge....
