The Road Less Traveled
The Surrounding
Dry air hurts the lungs, causing them to cave in and collapse..
No end it appears as you stride, hours fly by and days elapse..
Mild gust throwing sand into the already tortured eye..
Scraping legs open, wounds exposed and flesh eaten alive..
Buzzards hover over the area, watching your staggering steps..
For they are the peace keepers, and the bringers of death..
Shirt drenched in sweat, energy fleets as you creep further..
Decapitated skeletons laying, silent but yet screaming murder..
His Experience
I run fast, as the vast land surrounds, but nothing there..
Want to escape though I can barely breathe this air..
I'm dieing slow, pain setting in and i'm depleting..
Imperitive to find shelter, life gets shorter as day light is retreating..
Unknown horrors lurking, death surrounding the atmosphere..
Brittle skeletons of passers by that must have traveled here
The birds above, zoning in on my slightest moves..
Frightened for thine' life, cold sweat fills my every pore and groove..
To breathe it hurts, my nostrils burn from the scent of corosion..
Dripping sweat from this heat, yet i wont move as if i'm frozen..
