emotion and mic prescence are pretty much the same

to me it's all about changing the inflections in your voice on certain words to emphasiZe them more, or making certain words longer than they'd usually be when you just speak them...it's not being louder at certain points, cuz some people confuse emotion with just being loud and plain out obnoxious on a track...

you can't just say a line "harder" cuz you want people to feel it, make your track sound kinda like how you talk cuz I'm pretty sure you don't walk around sounding like the dude on the Clear Eyes commercial...make it a point to listen to how people say certain things when they're talking, how they emphasiZe certain words in the sentence and what-not, do the same thing when you rap

to me the rapper that best embodies "emotion" on tracks is probably Ludacris, he just over does it, but that's his own niche and style...a rapper that ALWAYS had just the right emotion was Tupac, that's why people listen to him as much as they do...cuz what he said, he said in a way that made you really want to listen and feel it, plus the way he wrote things, you could visualiZe it happening in front of you...that mixed with his vocal emotion and mic prescence made him the huge music (not just rap) icon he is today
