Jesus isn't mythological merely because he was far before our time. I don't think we need to adopt a new symbol if one seems too far away, it seems purely hypocritical of religion and true belief. Jesus is my lord and savior, MLK was a highly intelligent man with good beliefs and the drive to reach his goals, but as far as i'm concerned, saving my soul from myself > convincing white people to like me more than usual. |
