You're right. Being black and being gay are different. Someone can hide the fact they are gay. You know, men who get married, have kids, then run off with the fuckin maintenance man. It happens all the time bro. People are afraid to be who they are in society for fear of reproach and/or violence against them. And, you want to talk about AIDS? hmm...I assert that the AIDS epidemic wouldn't be as dire as it is if Americans especially would be more open and accepting of people's sexuality. That way, people wouldn't have to sneek around being promiscuous because of shame of who they are. It's terrible.
As far as high school kids are concerned, I think most are intelligent enough to know that where I stick my dick doesn't dictate who I am. Being heterosexual doesn't make you a good person, smart person, tough person, or decent person.
