The entertainment value of The Boondocks goes way beyond the humor for me. Of course, as this being one of the few tv shows I have actually felt the need to download, I often get asked by people such as my brother "You do know they hate white people, right?" Yeah, I do, but there's no denying that this is a breath of fresh air as far as racial humor goes. Chappelle's Show got old quickly into the second season, and Mind of Mencia was just unfunny from the start.
And the show appeals to you in many different ways. I often find myself watching old episodes I've already seen like 10 times. Of course by this time I'm not laughing at the jokes anymore, but I'm still entertained by such aspects as the rediculous random fight scenes ("Let's Nab Oprah" being the episode with the best fights) and the poignancy of certain political issues (like in the "Return of the King" episode). Not to mention the great job they do with the animation, as it's an American variation of Japanese Manga.
So for those who haven't seen it yet, The Boondocks is entertaining in almost any mood you're in.
