Forget that you got served video.. shit sucks ass. And often those school groups arent really all that great.

The best way to learn, if possible, is to find maybe one or two friends to do it with. Doing this makes it a SHITLOAD more fun, and a lot easier to. You'll find you're more motivated to learn moves to beat your friend to it, and if your friends to get something down before you, then they are right there to help you improve and get it down. It just makes shit so much better.

You CAN learn by yourself, but its a little bit harder. Its better if you have people who understand the movement youre trying to acheive, so they can watch you do it and tell you where youre going wrong. When theres nobody around to do that for you, probably the best you can do is film yourself or something.

Moves to start with...

hmm. Well probably you should start with toprock. Toprock is just dancing standing up, every bboy does it before they do more serious stuff. Good toprock means good style which means you are dope. Next you should learn the six step, which is the basis of footwork. Footwork is another element that contributes to your style... its basically dancing on the floor. You're not standing up and your legs are the main thing.

Definitely start getting you're handstands up to scratch, because they will help you with like half of all the freezes in bboying. Then you should learn the turtle freeze, which will help you with the other half of freezes, and with a lot of powermoves.

Once you have those things down you could learn more freezes, develop your style or move onto the power. I moved straight onto power and started learning windmills -_-.

anymore questions lemme know
