You guys just gotta understand one thing about "repairations". The premise is that the major companies like the cotton industry was built (literally) on the backs of slaves. It's not the generalization that some of us are running away with that it is a universal "government, give me money" thing - like unemployment, welfare, and 401k's are. It speaks to specific corporations and/or industries that wouldn't exist if not for slave labor.

Does this make it right is a whole different argument.
