I dunno, I guess religion fell into the same are as santa claus and the tooth fairy. I.E. superstitions to explain what back then they didnt understand. It's like if I got food poison from old ham or something. And I didnt know what it was so I said "damn I think ive been hexed" and told everyone that. If you found out it was food poison and you told me that and I said "NO IT WASNT, I WAS HEXXED" and I compeltly denied anything u had to say, regardless of how rediculous I sound. But its sorta a different story with religion, and at the same time it isnt. I kinda go on and off with believing religion and not so I dunno what to tell you
