[The person who's not buying equipment that they flat out don't need, or don't know how to use fully or even properly. The person that buys their AUDIO gear not based on LOOKS and knows that the LOOKS of a mic, or any other peice of hardware means absolutely nothing at all. The person that's not buying hardware to "look cool" and buys hardware to "have richer and clearer sound". this is the same preson who ends up spending less money to have great sound because they don't end up buying some garbage that "looks cool" only to end up replacing it with the right thing anyway after they find out that their stuff still sounds low-qual. THAT'S the smartest person in a studio]
