Bro...are you serious? I only call people ignorant when they are CLEARLY ignorant about what the bible SAYS about an issue. Most of the people commenting in these threads haven't read or studied what I'm talking about for themselves. So, they are speaking out of ignorance. Maybe I should put up a disclaimer that says, "I'm basing these views on text within the bible."
Furthermore, I believe that the bible was divinely inspired. That means I believe it was written under the guidance of God himself. And, even THAT'S in the bible (2 Timothy). So, again, if you don't believe it you don't believe it. Much of the points in the bible are also aimed at guiding your life. For example, "Give and it shall be given." The last time I checked, there was nothing wrong with that.
You can't pick and choose. You have to understand the scriptures in the context in which it was written.
