It's cool, I understand the curiosity. I used to be an adamant catholic in my teenage years, but then I actually read the Bible cover to cover and thats when things changed. The more you know of the "whole story", the less things add up and you find your self saying "wow, so if this is true..that would mean that was false??" - and both of these things are within the bible. As fractions and short-sight they seem like a functional idoligy, but in totality, they're disjointed and conflicting.

To aide our grasp for information I'll try to frame the following statement in a context that we're all used to: The only works that I've seen that contains whole truths are the gilgamesh epics and the enuma elish - both of which are over 10,000 years older than even the Bible and other story books similar to it. Neither the giglamesh epics nor the enuma elish say or imply "this is how you should live your life" and "do this but not that". They're both objective accounts of history from the first civilizations on the planet and tie EVERYTHING (and I mean EVERYTHING!) together. For the first time in my life, everything made perfect sense. These are the works that you will find all these Religious Story Books take their concepts from and twist in their own perspective and label it as their people's "story of creation". Even the word "god", "God" and "GOD" all come from these scrolls and is actually an acroynm of three words.

I guess this is the closest way I can squeeze what I know into the concept of "a person and their beliefs" into a digestable 'statement for the masses' though it is actually the exact opposite of that.
