2: anything that'll support the weight of your mic while you speak into it and won't have you recording while sitting. Hit a radio shack.
3: Depends on your abilities. The best program in the world won't be much help if you can't use it well. The "industry standard" is Logic Pro. The next best under that is Pro Tools. If you want a free program that's pretty good and REALLY easy to learn, click this: audacity.sourceforge.net/
4: Pretty much all of em, even the most basic ones including Audacity.
