Styles have advanced far beyond only being able to rap about what you love. But the "fun" aspect will forever be present. If you have fun doing what you do, and you can be original about it, with your own lyrical arrangements, then you're that much better already.

Having the passion of hip hop in you, and making music you enjoy is one thing. If you sign a major deal, you can bet your ass you wont have as much creative freedom. If a major label gives you money, they're paying you. If you're signing to them for an amount of money, they're buying your musical rights. If they buy your musical rights off you, that means you've sold your musical rights to them. That's where the "sell" prefix originates. "Out" refers to the change in your image demanded by the label, which is a result of you signing to them.
