Well here comes my question i dont know if any of you can answer.

If Jesus is a symbol of christianity, is he god?

Biblically speaking, Jesus is God. John 1 says, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God." The bible also says of Jesus, "In him dwells the fullness of the Godhead." Mary was Jesus' mother, yes. But, Catholics have given her a more important role than the bible intended, IMO. Jesus said, "Ask the FATHER anything in my name, and I will do it." Nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus instruct us to pray to Mary.

So, yes, Jesus is God. When the bible speaks of the creative power of God, it's referring to Jesus.
