Viruses are not living organisms....
there are 5 standards that are to be followed to define a living..or non living organism........viruses don't fall under all 5....
HOWEVER
they do mutate....not to survive...the go through random mutations...
While not living organisms, they DO
evolve, meaning they accumulate random mutations that either help or hinder
the next generation of viruses. Of course, to get the next generation, they
need to infect a cell and use its machinery to make more viruses.
if anyone would like to argue that....
get at me...
but before you do...
perhaps you should research a completely new strand of the aids virus...that they discovered not too long ago....
and THAN get at me....
