If you made a reply talking about how to make fillet mignon, and I replied like "Yea, not only that, but I like making pot roast," that CONNOTES that I know how to make fillet mignon.
If you didn't quote my thread, then why would I randomly pick you to say, "You didn't know that." <--------------That'd be ridiculous!
However, if I were to quote your reply about making fillet mignon, and I didn't know how to make it, I'd say, "Word, I had it once but I've never made it."
