Immortal Technique needs a hit song. Period. Public Enemy had "Fight the power" and "Don't believe the hype", songs people still quote to this very day. Immortal Technique has what, exactly? I'm not knocking his talent, but this "underground" B.S. is a cop out at this point. If America is in such dire straights, then he and other so-called "political rappers" needs to step up and represent. I don't know any I.T. songs, and in the words of the famous rapper, "it ain't my fault". Then again, he might argue that, "the people my songs are made for know them and know where to find them." eh ehh...Music is a business of marketing as well as talent. If his goal is to spread a message, then I would think spreading that message as far reaching as possible is the goal. Why do these so-called "underground" rappers not seem to get that? Maybe they get it and just don't know how to spread themselves and their music to more people. Who knows?
