I think the original point of this thread was that crunk is big now and crunk = South so the South is big now. But crunk is dying and this 'hyphy' shit is slowly takin over (Even as we speak) soon everyone will be 'hyphy' and the South will be back to nothing. I'm from Jersey so believe I know what it's like to get shat on by NY considering some people there don't know this fuckin state exists lol. But right now the South as a whole is putting out nothing but crunk, and the fad is moving on. Name a mainstream artist from the South that isn't making people bang their heads into walls and jump around. Whereas when you hear West Coast you think of laid back, car hoppin rodon music. And of course NY has the lyricism and gritty shit. It's a culture. The US is split in terms of culture, which is why rap won't die because every 'section' has it's own style that will get some play at some point. Te South's turn is over and looks like 'Hyphy' is next in line.
