I just saw Pink's video "Stupid Girls". It's hilarious. It deals with the issue of self-image and self-respect among young girls. She basically spoofs Paris Hilton, Nicole, Richey, and Lindsey Lohan. Oprah had a former "video hoe" on to discuss how women are basically objects in rap videos. I read somewhere that sex in media is dying. But, it's clear that sex still sells. I like Pink's message though of "you can be sexy without dumbing yourself down." On the other hand, that in itself is limiting to females because how often do you hear someone saying to a man, "you can be sexy without dumbing yourself down"?
