^^depends on what you're trying to do. if you're trying to get signed as an artist you'll def need some sort of follwoing, but regardless someone would have tobe checkin for oyu or someoen who heard you or your name out there be like "yo! someone get a hold of this guy" and that's whne you get a call from the untracable numbers lmao. long story but if you're trying to get put on as an artist, these days you need a buzz to some extent.
